Sri Harikanyakadevi Temple is a temple located in Ariyanur, Kandanassery, Thrissur. The main deity of the temple is Mohini, the only female incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Hence the name 'Harikanyaka' for the deity of the temple (Hari - nickname of Vishnu; Kanyaka - woman). It is the only temple in India dedicated to Mohini. Therefore, the temple attracts special attention.The temple is located on a small hillock to the left of the main road. The view of the temple is to the east.The deities worshiped are Ganapati, Ayyappan, Shiva, Bhadrakali and the serpent gods. It is believed that the temple was built by Perunthachan.Sri Harikanyakadevi Temple is located 5 km east of Guruvayur on the way to Thrissur and is one of the 108 fortified temples in Kerala.The temple is located 21 km northwest of Thrissur, 5 km east of Guruvayur and 8 km south of Kunnamkulam on the Thrissur-Choondal-Chowalloorpady-Guruvayur route. The Chundal-Guruvayur Highway, the longest state highway in Kerala, passes through the northern part of the temple.
